Before arriving at Campello sul Clitunno travelling north from Spoleto, one can visit the fortified towns of Bazzano and Poreta.
After the inevitable visit of the Springs of the Clitunno, at the right-hand side of the valley one arrives at the castle and the church of of Pissignano after only a few minutes, and at the small temple of the situated near the river. Returning back after having left the Flaminia state road, follow the signs for Beroide and then for Bruna, where you will find a noteworthy santuary; after a short deviation you will discover the charming church of St. Brizio. Continuing along the more hidden part of the region one arrives first at Castel Ritaldi, then at Giano dell'Umbria and then, a bit outside the populated area, at the abbey of St. Felix.

The route winds from North to South through the villages of Cesi and Giano dell'Umbria.
Interesting observations from the environmental point of view: magnificent flowers in bloom at the end of spring and at the beginning of summer, herbs, characteristic Apennine fauna set in a territory with interesting historical and artistic aspects, such as the Roman remains of Carsulae. Reference point is the Excursion Refuge at Scoppio in the Acquasparta area (Terni).
