Costacciaro is small village with ancient origins, lays at the top of a hill, and still preserves the ruines of a castle and the old town walls.

In the '500s the town was under dominion of Perugi , Gubbio and Montefeltro's family while in XVI century was taken over by the papal state. The curch of S. Francesco dating 1300 is worth a visit.
