Costacciaro is small village with ancient origins, lays at the top of a hill, and still preserves the ruines of a castle and the old town walls.

The interest with this place lies mainlyin the coves of Monte Cucco. This mountain, just above the 1500 meters, at the top not only offers the meadows and wild woods, but also the coves, which are known since the 1500. In the '500s the town was under dominion of Perugi , Gubbio and Montefeltro's family while in XVI century was taken over by the papal state. The curch of S. Francesco dating 1300 is worth a visit.
